Here is another photo blog!! This one highlighting our month in Uganda..enjoy!
your girl turned 22 on February 5th // and what a long travel day it was, but I felt so loved by my squad and new hosts
our squad leader, Hudson, stayed with us for the month, and he brought so much laughter with him to us five Kestrels
some of my teammates: Hailey (team leader) and Erika (with the air conditioning)
introducing my lil buddy, Sterling, our ministry hosts’ youngest, who loved being held, playing my guitar, and chasing me in the grass, laughing his lungs out
the co-ed team, Kenz and the boys, were in the same town, and we were able to get together a few times: for Eric’s birthday, valentines day (the boys loved us so well), and for fun
of course they had puppies at our house, and we all fell in love
one of the ministries we did was roll paper beads with the women who were young single mamas that were just trying to make ends meet
of course, chapati is a must talked about food. It is a flat bread that is simply delicious and quite addicting. Most people wrap it with egg, veggies, avocado or with banana and honey or anything else you can think of…or plain!
this is pretty much what Uganda looked like most of the time. Red dirt, banana trees and blue skies
