This last month was a whirlwind, and there were a lot of firsts this month. Lemme share some of those:
1) first team switch from Ohana with three guys (co-ed team) to Chosin (all girl team) on November 5th
2) first time sleeping in one bed for a full month in about a year (I have moved a lot and jumped couches)
3) first time having a real piano in my house in a few years that I can play on as often as I wish!
4) first time living in a five story house
5) first time having thanksgiving in a new country without my fam
6) first time teaching English
7) first time not playing the guitar every day (the piano took over)
8) first time watching the movie “the shack”–WATCH IT
9) first time only being on one team for one month before team switches

There were also a lot of things I have been walking through this month…honestly, I am a basket case of emotions right now, BUT before you try to comfort me in it, I prayed for this. I wanted to feel emotions again, and BOIIII Abba is helping me feel ALL of them!
Here are some things I learned this month:
-I focus a lot in the past and future, but find true breath when I can focus in the present
-If someone tells me to be more vulnerable, I actually close up even more (yes, I know, unhealthy, but I realize I am doing this now)
-I don’t know how to process with people, have conflict, or even “be an adult” healthily
-I realized I pretty much suck at small talk, but for some reason Abba gave me a heart for English talking club this last month and I think I only missed two days of it haha
-The World Race has been more discipleship to me than I thought–but I prayed that I wouldn’t be the same person at the end of the Race than I was at the beginning…so He is just answering me
-I love taking ownership in a classroom setting. Maybe because that’s where I thrive back in my horse world–teaching.

In less than 24 hours we find out our new teams and new leadership roles–how do I feel with all these changes? Let’s go!…and get it over with 😉 I equally love change but hate knowing there are surprises coming as well.
